Perminder S. Tung
Perminder S. Tung is a Partner at Lindsay Kenney LLP, a major regional law firm in British Columbia. He serves on the SABABC Board as Vice President and President-Elect. He also contributes extensively to sub-committee work in order to advance SABABC’s mission. He has been involved in SABABC since he was a law student and continues to mentor young lawyers with entry to the profession and the development of their practices.
As a practicing lawyer, Perminder exclusively handles ICBC injury claims where he represents individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents. For years, he was an insurance defence lawyer having acted for large insurance companies. He switched sides in 2011 and has since been representing injured victims exclusively.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Simon Fraser University. He completed a dual-law degree program in 2008 where he earned his Canadian Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Windsor and his American Juris Doctor, cum laude from the University of Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his law student articling at another respected downtown Vancouver firm and joined Lindsay Kenney LLP as an Associate in 2009.
He was born and raised in Surrey, BC and attended inner city schools. He speaks at High Schools and Elementary Schools and is an active member in the community. Professionally, he has been appointed to various government boards and legal associations.
Personally, he enjoys competitive ball hockey and traveling with his wife and two children.
