Member Spotlight November 2021 – Jeevyn Dhaliwal, Q.C.

This month’s member spotlight is on member Jeevyn Dhaliwal, Q.C.

Called to the Bar in 1998, Jeevyn holds broad based experience in employment law and practises in the area of workplace immigration law at Larlee Rosenberg, Barristers & Solicitors, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Jeevyn is a longstanding member, and has served as a board member and past president of SABABC . She is the first South Asian lawyer to have been elected to serve as a Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia representing Vancouver County, and in 2022 she will serve as second vice-president, with her presidency to occur in 2024. At that time, Jeevyn will become the first South Asian to ever lead the Law Society of British Columbia as its President.

Jeevyn’s further service to the profession has included elected positions on the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) Provincial Council and the Vancouver Bar Association. Her community involvement more broadly includes instructing at Capilano University’s Legal Studies Department, sitting as a Board Member of Creative BC and she is a past member of the UBC Alumni Advisory Council.
