Rupinder Gosal
Director

Rupinder Gosal has been involved with SABABC since 2015 and has since become a Director and a Co-Chairperson of the Student Mentorship Committee. She is committed to advancing the SABABC mandate of promoting the development of south Asian lawyers, law students, paralegals and staff.

Anita Atwal
Director and President

Anita Atwal is an experienced labour, employment and human rights lawyer, workplace investigator and mediator. She has a keen interest in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion issues as they relate to legal practice. Anita acts for unions, employers and employees. She also has significant experience in governance issues. Anita brings a trauma informed and culturally competent approach to the practice of law and is a strong believer in empowering individuals and organizations with the tools to make the right decisions.

Hardeep Gill
Director and President-Elect

Hardeep S. Gill is an associate at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP specializing in tax and corporate commercial law. Hardeep received his J.D. at the University of British Columbia Law School in 2014. Hardeep serves SABABC as Chair of the Scholarship Committee and sits on the Fall Conference Committee.

Aman Bindra
Director

Aman is a real estate, lending, and corporate lawyer at KSW Lawyers in Surrey. He obtained his JD from the University of British Columbia. Aman is also an Instructor of real estate and mortgage law at the UBC Sauder School of Business.

Randy Bassi
Director, Vice-President and Treasurer

Randy is a commercial real estate lawyer at Cassels, Brock & Blackwell LLP and maintains a practice in both Ontario and British Columbia. Randy actively engages in a variety of mentoring and volunteer initiatives and joined SABABC to continue taking an active role within the South Asian community. Away from the office, Randy enjoys being in the outdoors, reading a good book and trying his hand at every sport.

Gagan Khosa
Director

Gagan Khosa is an associate at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP specializing in a wide variety of complex, multi-go liability, banking, insurance, construction, aviation and commercial litigation matters. He obtained his JD from Thompson Rivers University. Gagan is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley and has a passion for social justice and is an advocate for diversity, equity, and opportunity.

Jessie K. Sunner
Director

Jessie K. Sunner is In-House Legal Counsel for the Hospital Employees’ Union, where she specializes in labour, employment, and human rights law. Jessie obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary and her B.A. in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Jessie sits on the SABABC Advocacy Committee.

 

Manroop Ghuman
Director

Manroop Ghuman is an associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Manroop practises in the area of corporate and commercial law. Manroop obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy and her B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia. Manroop co-chairs the Membership and Outreach Committee of SABABC. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family and reading a good book.

Harleen Randhawa
Director

Harleen is a lawyer in the litigation and dispute resolution group at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. She obtained her J.D. and M.B.A. at the University of Victoria, and her B.Com (Hons.) from the University of British Columbia. Harleen sits on the Membership and Outreach Committee of SABABC. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors.

 

Manveer Bisla
Director

Manveer Bisla is a lawyer at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Prior to joining Osler, Manveer was a lawyer at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. Manveer obtained his Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa and completed an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of British Columbia.
