The South Asian Bar Association of British Columbia (SABABC) is a non-for-profit organization seeking to strengthen the South Asian legal community and remove barriers in the legal profession faced by South Asian individuals. SABABC is committed to the advancement of greater diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and access to justice, for the betterment of the legal community as a whole.
In support of this mission, activities of SABABC include (i) promoting the professional development of lawyers, articling students, and law students; (ii) providing professional support and networking opportunities; (iii) disseminating information relevant to our members about law, legal access and relevant legal issues; (iv) coordinating activities with other local and national bar and affinity bar associations; and (v) advocating for the interests of the South Asian legal community in BC at all levels, be they local, provincial, national or international.
We invite all lawyers, paralegals, law students and members of the judiciary to join SABABC in its commitment to achieving these goals, and to attend the numerous events put on by SABABC each year for this purpose.
